Admission Arrangements

Pupils in reception are usually between four and five years old. Children start school either in the term or in the academic year in which they reach five.

At Causeway Green Primary, we have two Reception classes, Reception 1 and Reception 2, with a maximum of 30 children in each.  Each class has a teacher and an LSP working with the children.

Following the Early Years curriculum, your child will get a foundation in literacy through communication and language activities such as role play, listening exercises and show and tell. They will also learn the alphabet and high-frequency words, and begin to be taught phonics blends.  For more information, please go to the Curriculum tab at the top of the website.
