Sports Council
Introduction
We aim to help everyone live a healthy active lifestyle. What does that mean? We need to encourage children to be more active and eat healthier food. Did you know, children should be active for 60 minutes a day?
Our Sports councillors will be working on encouraging children to participate in active playtime, participate fully in our PE lessons, join our sports after-school clubs, take part in try-outs for our school sports teams who compete with other Sandwell schools, take part in inter-sport tournaments and participate in active groups outside of school. During our assemblies, we celebrate active participation, determination, resilience and teamwork every week with a special nomination from Mr Foreshaw.
Our Sports Council meet every half term to monitor the range of activities available and suggest new and exciting ways for children in our school to take part in sports. They will also play a key role in deciding which competitions Causeway Green should enter.
We Aim To:
- Help others lead a balanced healthy lifestyle
- Encourage children to participate in physical activity in and out of school
- Promote physical and mental health
- Encourage children to participate in competitions
