What is pupil premium funding for schools and how will it benefit my child?
Every child should be allowed to realise their potential at school, regardless of their background. The Government is committed to supporting all disadvantaged pupils in England. It has implemented support, such as the pupil premium, for schools to address the challenges to success that some pupils face.
The pupil premium is extra money for our school to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities achieve their full potential. The amount of pupil premium funding that our school receives is decided by how many disadvantaged pupils we have. If parents apply then our school receives funding per pupil premium-eligible child.

Our school will spend the pupil premium in line with a menu of approaches, based on expert evidence of what works when it comes to improving the outcomes of disadvantaged children. We allocate the spending across three areas:
Support for high-quality teaching, such as staff professional development
Targeted academic support, such as tutoring and professionals in school
Tackle non-academic barriers to academic success, such as challenges with attendance, behaviour, and social and emotional well-being and mental health.
Our school is able to decide how exactly to spend their pupil premium so that it supports pupils who need it most. You can read our pupil Premium Plan by clicking on the report below.
